Jacob Allen

Jacob Allen was born 24 May 1793, in that part of North Carolina which later became Tennessee.  He served in the War of 1812. Jacob first married Sarah Unknown probably in North Carolina.  He and Sarah had 5 children.  Later he and his family moved with his father to Marengo County, Alabama.  Richard only stayed in Alabama a few years and moved on to Madison County, MS.  Jacob remained in Alabama where on 08 Oct 1835 in Greene County, AL, he married Caroline Crawford, daughter of Samuel and Rosanna Crawford.  Jacob and Caroline remained in Alabama until about 1853, when they moved to Madison County, MS to be near his brothers and sisters.  Jacob died 27 Dec 1858 in Madison County, MS.

Mary Allen born unknown - married Unknown Granbuys (Granbury?)

Rebecca J Allen born 1828 in Alabama - married Jonathan D. Hendrix
